2010 highlighted

At the end of one year, before the dawn of the next, people dwell on nostalgic events; feeling joy at reliving some memories and regret at others. Most of us swear upon new resolutions that have inevitable failure bound to them like little lead balloons but me; i give thanks for that which i have been blessed with and throw hope into the wind of my new year.
With the idea of reflection in mind, to round off the first year of our new decade, i have decided to post a few of my 2010 fashion highlights and today i will be praising marchesa’s ss2011 collection.
Delicate, pristine, fragile and ornate with a hint of aristocracy and oriental thematics. Every piece is worthy of museum curation.
Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig are designing magicians and have proved that every marchesa collection, whether it be rtw or couture, will be art. The soft palette of cream, ivory, white and peach, combined with the frothy ruffles, smooth silks and delicate lace and otherwordly embellishment was literally breathe-taking. Each dress, jumpsuit and gown was a masterpiece with a life of its own but was clearly part of the most distinct and cohesive collection of ss2011.
