No-one does animal print like roberto cavalli and no-one does tiny hot-pants in pre-fall like roberto cavalli. Actually, no-one BUT cavalli does that. Why should we expect conventional dressing from such a big name, though? His designs don’t need to be weather appropriate when there is a huge fan-base and a barrage of support regardless.
Rather than a well-rounded pre-fall collection this was more like a round-up of favoured left-overs from seasons gone by. Not that i’m complaining; i really liked everything and my wish for more glamour was granted with jewelled embellishment, sparkle and good-quality textiles in abundance.
Going back to those unspeakably short printed hot-pants, i adored them and would take the matching bag without hesitation. Together with the burgundy leather jacket, it was the sort of outfit considered suitable for a supermodel on a yacht but that wouldn’t prevent me from trying to pull it off…if only i had the budget…someday lana, someday.
