crystal renn fills amber valletta's choos

Crystal Renn was deemed the patroness of plus-size, wearing her title with pride as she encouraged young girls to mantain a healthy weight, urged designers to use “real women” and inadvertantly began transform what is said to be beautiful.  At a size 16 (US) Crystal Renn’s hip measurements stretched further than her thinner counterparts, then again, so did her career with a reported seven figures sitting comfortably in her bank account. At one point it seemed that Crystal epitomised the future of modelling; where size doesn’t matter….that is, until she pissed everyone off by slimming down and throwing away her plus-size crown; just another victim of the industry, i say.
On the forums, people like to constantly underline the fact that she is a REAL woman, just like us, and has the right to succumb to pressure, just like we do. NO SHE DOESN’T!!!! Crystal Renn is NOT a real woman anymore. She has carved herself the image of a “plus size icon” that girls can look up to; she should, therefore, be aware of the message that any sort of weight loss will send out. It comes across that even with all the success, money and praise from others, nothing comes close to bones.
Models, as well as designers and photographers, need to understand that they are responsible for maintaining a  consistent and stable image especially when they influence on such a large scale.

Eugh, disregarding my frustration, Crystal Renn is the new face and…feet of Jimmy Choo. Her current weight, as seen in the campaign,  is quite a few pounds away from her not too distant plus-size days but, nevertheless, i haven’t seen her looking quite so healthy and, although it is said through gritted teeth, there is no denying that she models every item with effortless grace from her head to her toes.
Brunett bombshell: Size 12 model Crystal Renn is the new face - and feet - of Jimmy Choo
The future's bright: The Jimmy Choo campaign follows Renn's recent stint with Jean Paul Gaultier. She's on a roll
