Creatures of the night

For ss2011 accessories, the designers were digging deep into the foliage, dredging through the grass, turning over leaves and logs to pick for inspiration. Not literally, though...HA!! Can you imagine Miuccia Prada prodding her manicured fingers into the soil  for some creepy crawlies?!! Somehow, i don't think so.

Nevertheless, the dark and dirty depths seemed to be the most profitable premises to venture into this season...

It was a bug's life for Alber Elbaz who added rigid, jewelled insect attachments to soft flowing gowns. I was especially buzzing about the tan calfskin fly harness, butterfly necklace and the gruesomely stylish green
python and gold leaf bag.










My favourite of the shuddersome bunch is this Roberto Cavalli claw ring. It's beastly and menacing yet somehow, beautifully refined
