home sweet home

I think i'm having a coronary.

Baftas, Grammys, fashion week; its been a hectic 7 days and rather unfortunate from me, having spent the week in Berlin- away from the internet. The entirety of my break was seized by panicking cognitions and horrific fantasies of missing out on Lady Gaga's return to the red carpet and other such things.

When i got back to my laptop, no less than an hour ago, my hand was spasming and my brain was spontaneously flat lining on and off, i was hideously overwhelmed by information and i had no idea what to click on first. God, just thinking about it is inducing bouts of ptsd. I'm never leaving home again.

As i very slowly begin to regain control of my motions, i will begin an erratic array of posts, beginning with bafta and grammy round-ups, followed by news and fashion week reviews when i am once again fully functioning, having recovered from what seems to be a fashion stroke.

BAFTAs

Being fashion week, grammy night as well as a fortnight from the oscars, it didnt seem likely for the baftas to draw in the big names. Nevertheless, the smaller group of a-list ladies dropped a bomb of colour on the soggy british red carpet.

the best of the brights

Jessica Alba in a bright blue strapless Versace dress which perfectly complemented her olive skin tone

Rosamund Pike wearing Alexander McQueen. The burnt amber leaf print is a winner on the red carpet and i would tackle the ho for that knuckle duster clutch.

Emma Stone stopped traffic in this two tone asymmetric Lanvin gown with tan accessories

A few ladies went in the nude, preferring softer romantic shades.

Emma Watson in a one shoulder ruffled Valentino design. *cough* boring *cough, cough*

Amy Adams glittered in Elie Saab

best dressed

Hailee Steinfeld in Miu Miu. I adore this girl- she's fourteen which means that she doesnt have to worry about enhancing her figure and looking perfect. Her youth and status allows her to have fun with fashion and experiment with colours, shapes and designers; so far she's on a roll

Julianne Moore in Tom Ford, kissing Tom Ford's ass..Lately i have been bitterly disappointed with Julianne's red carpet routine of wearing frumpy, wrinkled lanvin dresses but it seems that Mr Ford has picked the actress out of her rut and created a godess in a midnigh blue velvet dress by the designer...of course.

WHAT THE FUG???!!!

When something good comes along on the red carpet, you can be sure that some fugly hot mess will follow closely behind and the bafta's did not fail to horrify.

Gemma Arterton who must have gotten confused and decided to wear the wraping paper and leave a beautiful YSL dress in its box

Jennifer Lawrence in Stella McCartney, stumbling into the awards show on her way home from a victorian brothel

Tracey Emin in Vivienne Westwood- where the fuck do i start?
