a thousand stitches deep

"and sometimes when the night is slow,
the wretched and the meak,
we gather our hearts and go
a thousand kisses deep"

-a soundtrack of Leonard Cohen makes it hard not to swoon; Haider Ackermann clearly knows his way around a woman's heart

The rhythmic sensuality flooded the collection from start to finish.
The designer, firstly, touched upon a trend for engulfing tailoring, breezing a slight japanese sway with kimono shaping. Swamping trains of darkened jewel toned satin and suede flowed into one another, slowly caressing Ackermann's aptitude for obscure drapery, wherein the syrupy fluidity is forcefully sharpened by exaggerated waist cinching belts. Despite an abundance of twisted layering, the pieces maintained an effervescent weightlessness surrounding deep cutaways, creating subtle exposure of shoulders and thighs.

Some mention must be awarded to the unique hair styling. Although  forebodingly curious, such fearless eccentricity within a typically "beautiful" collection needs to be highly commended. At a time when much speculation surrounds career re-shuffling, Ackermann's name understandably glows in the city of light.

The man is living proof that unkle karl's approval can electrify a career.
