seek, reach, attain

"The thing about us is we think big. Huge." says one half of my favourite fashion duo, unravelling a mantra that renders soulfully and chimes distinctly in my impressionable ears.

One can safely hail that, alongside bestowing benevolent advice, the Olsen twins have prolifically overthrown industries ranging from film and television, to fashion and branding whilst, in the meantime, making it somewhat acceptable to dress like a homeless nomad.

In the latest edition of Vogue, the pint-size sisters pose on stilts in Tom Ford pyjamas and again with school-girl charm in matching powder-pink The Row designs, coquettishly hiding behind a Brigitte Bardot book. They talk openly about humbling personal difficulties whilst maintaining their, now flourishing, career transition, explaining, "'We hired a showroom and talked buyers through. People would drill us about fabric, where we'd make it. The first season, customers bought it, so the stores came back. And drilled us again.'

Unsurprisingly, Mary-Kate and Ashley have, rightfully and abundantly, earned their credentials via three thriving brands; The Row, Olsenboye and Elizabeth and James, affirming distinct and profound personal involvement within each of their frutifications and justifiably establishing themselves as a legitimately blossoming, fashion-power-house.

Ironic: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen posed for the April 2011 edition of Vogue in polka-dot pyjamas
