But sorry EMMA and Daph, Hakaan Yildirim doesn't need your public thrust; he's launching himself.
Hakaan has officially popped my figurative paris fashion week a/w 2011 cherry and i couldnt be more satisfied. The london based, turkish designer catapulted a collection of sophisticatedly trashy, dominatrix, leather business suits, diffused with eloquently punching graphic dresses, lighting fireworks to announce the arrival of a riveting week.
Powerfully oversized and cleverly tailored trompe l'oeil jumpsuits covered sheer panels which exposed..well...a lot of boob. The electrifying sexual energy extended with ultra-short tank dresses, jagged asymmetric angles and racy leather bombers. However, bouncing back and forth against the..eh...smut was a lick of elegance. Minimalist colour blocking swallowing sumptuous silk and cashmere lines subtly, and thankfully, eclipsed an overtly provocative blaze.
"These clothes bring a luxe touch to clothes made for women who are working and playing and running and going wild," Tick, tick and tick; objectives met and on to the next one.
