bal-MAN down

Roll up the sequinned sleeves, unhinge the studs, abandon the shoulder pads and dust off the glitter in honour of ANOTHER artist, fallen from grace.

After 6 glimmering years at the helm of  the luxury, French fashion house, today beckoned the news of Christophe Decarnin's (frankly, staggeringly anticipated) departure from his role as creative director at Balmain.

Although partially antagonised by today's disclosure, it comes as no shock to those who gasped, then exhaled deflated air through last month's Paris show; disgruntled by meagre creative efforts and quietly querying the designer's notable absence.... fuelling rumours of a possible hospitalisation.

Nevertheless, Decarnin's veritable, fashion baptism of hysterical "Balmainia" is tattooed intimately upon a lasting legacy. Magnetically conceiving glistening garments that saw women transfigure into sparkle-hungry magpies, Christophe relaxed his vision to generously observe doubling sales, with each seasonal endeavour. In their cut and fit, in their energy and implacably dirty sex appeal, these clothes could not have come from anywhere else but France — and not even France but Paris", remarked Cathy Hoyn with regards to Decarnin's stylish concoctions.

Christophe Decarnin will be eternally esteemed, glorified and exalted in the fashion hall of fame for, not only rescuing Balmain from flailing, financial instability, but also for adorning and enhancing the true female form, elegantly defined within medium of revolutionised, sensual dressing, adopting "Body-con" into the vernacular.

With no further announcement of future undertakings, an ominous path lies ahead of the designer....however, i might have heard someone mention a possible vacancy at Dior?
