blogger of the week

"the only tyrant i accept in this world is the still small voice within me"

These words resonate deeply, throughout my dedicated demeanour; willing to forgo sleep, food and breath to serve my art. However, in seeking reciprocal consolation within a community of fellow writers, bloggers and devotees, i now nurture a burgeoning admiration for those who share the creative vision.

Therefore, as part of a new, and trustfully prospering, section of TheStyleCave, i introduce to thee, my blog of the week; F+ML

F+ML is the stylistic innovation of 19 year old Monica who studies at Parsons in New York. Motivated by "journaling and venting", Monica's blog documents her personal encounters with fashion, aspiring to create a "diary" which will ultimately, and indirectly, bestow advice upon her readers. With regards to the blog's origin, Monica explains "I always have FML moments. Luckily I have more fashion related times in my life than FMLs. So I created Fashion and My Life (F+ML) : It's a chronicle of everything fashion that works its way into my mind... and closet."

The Colorado native once dreamt fanciful notions of fashion design (a lingering ambition which may  flourish if she "learns how to sew correctly through school"), however, from a recently kindled passion for writing, Monica is zestfully eager to build a fortified career in the magazine industry, most prominently influenced by Nylon.

Monica gained notoriety in high-school by, not only imitating, but glorifying the coveted style of Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf. Encompassing vintage Hepburn-esque proclivities into a contemporary affection, Monica fabricated some lasting credentials that now lend to her developing style accolades.

My own personal attraction towards F+ML was instantly ignited through an inherent vibrancy, not only with regards to the colour scheme but also born from Monica's radiating positivity and effervescent personal style, vibrantly inspired by quirky luxury brands; Miu Miu, Moschino and Maison Martin Margiela. Her admirable talent and eye for the unconventional leaves an impassioned taste, creating hunger for more.
