closer each day...

Admittedly, "Home and Away" is not the compass point of all moral integrity, but it does highlight one crucial matter; Australia has got it goin' on.

Soft, honey sunlight, golden sandy beaches, kangaroos, hot bodies, BBQs and surfing but, most importantly, it is the sweet native soil of model, Abbey Lee Kershaw and jewellery label, Mania Mania; whose collaboration for the newest "Reve" collection is hotter than Alf in a speedo.

Mania Mania's inspiration for "Reve" neglected crude Australian clichés and instead flowed heavily through the inspired archives of vagabond dancer and creative muse, Vali Myers. Carouselling through the underworld of post-war Paris, Myers believed herself to be "born out of time", melodically following a unique and impassioned path which set fire to parisian artistry of the 1960s.

"Let it all be animal, my life and death, hard and clean like that, anything but human... a lot I care, me with my red heart in the dark earth and my tattooed feet following the animal ways."

In her own free-spirited groove, however,  Abbey Lee Kershaw casually interprets Vali Myers' soulful spirit, in rhapsodic poses that revive the dancer's lasting imprints. Her bright white hair and blood red lips complement the euphoric lighting which shadows gypsy inspired crochets and swinging tassels.

The jewellery collection itself, somehow, manages to become its own focal point, carrying a liberated, boho vibe with regards to bold size and informal shaping.  With a duo tone metal plating effect, the rings, cuffs and oversized pendants are made of bronze, sterling silver and striking crystal stones amazonite and smokey
quartz, brimming with laid-back Australian cool.
