The Filth and The Fury

I had a little think about my s&m underwear article from a few days ago and made the strikingly obvious realisation that, strangely enough, bondage marked the beginning of my love of fashion.




 At age fourteen i was unbelievably obsessed with everything punk and any crazed pistol's fanatic will tell you that the role fashion plays in the punk movement is almost equally as powerful as the music. The style added even more depth to the words of the songs and helped express the attitude which defines even the word "punk"

I worshipped vivienne westwood and was fascinated by her sex boutique on the kings road which sold all manner of fetish gear and bondage odds and ends.... The boutique became famed as the british punk metropolis; johnny rotten even auditioned for the sex pistols inside the store, leaning against the jukebox singing alice cooper's "i'm 18" (seriously, obsessed is a diluted description of my feelings) The rebellion attributed to this store really struck a chord with the younger me and that's why i think all things bondage and s&m will always hold a dear place in my heart...
