Golden Touch

I only recently realised that Olivia Wilde was once Alex; the kind-of-lesbian from the o.c with cute butterfly tattoo who got me all hot and bothered with her undefined sexuality and steamy relationship with Marissa Cooper. What i’m trying to say is that she really has come a long way. She’s now a hollywood leading lady and her days of appearing in cheese infected teen dramas are over. Olivia Wilde is almost unrecognisable; look how stunning miss Wilde looks in this shimmering Emilio Pucci gown with cut-out detail in the front. The dress is apt for the season and her hair and make-up is soft and casual as it should be.

Everyone seems to be going for gold in fashion lately. Writing this, the first thing that immediately springs to mind is the sequined balmain dress that took over the covers of seven major magazines in one month. This statement may be concieved from a coma prompted by the sparkly-ness of the festive season but; i strongly believe that the Balmain piece is one of the most divine dresses i have ever seen.
I don’t know how or why it happens, but when i see something gold and sparkly everything behind it becomes hazy, a dim light shines over the item and slow, melodic music play in my head causing the scene to become very emotional as i am transfixed on sed gold thing.
Just to add to the goldness we have Elle Fanning in Rodarte. It’s a really cool outfit, i’m especially attracted to the shoes but she’s only 12. She’s too fashionable, it’s creepy.

I mean, it’s cool that she’s so passionate about fashion at such a young age but what she’s wearing is a bit too grown up. Albeit stunning, she looked too far beyond her 12 years in Valentino couture last week. Put some jeans on and play hide-and-seek for goodness sake and give me that dress on your way out.
