Wallpaper - Suno s/s 2012

As a child, whenever i visited an old person's house, i always examined the fussy mix of printed wallpapers. I liked the way they smelt and how some were bumpy under my little fingers, whilst others were smooth and made a squeaking sound.

Suno's first ever runway collection outlined my curiosity, with wallpaper prints that ran vertically down the models body, whilst varying patterns overlapped others; like looking through a keyhole and all the rooms are running towards you at once.

Despite being compact and energetic, the prints were laid upon effervescent floating fabrics that brought us back to casual summer garden parties and late July nights when the air gets thinner to let the breezes through. Conflicting water-colour panels on looser shaped pieces drafted a soft romantic elegance between more rigid sheathed separates; which better displayed the printing artistry. Although lacking the colourful boisterousness that first attracted me to Suno, style and design aptitude was still there, in abundance.
