return of the pre-fall round-up

Matthew Williamson
Where Matthew Williamson goes, Sienna Miller follows and she was clearly on his mind for pre-fall. The top heavy layering, skinny jeans and ankle boots were obviously geared towards a bohemian girl but if that doesnt tickle your fancy, don’t be put off. There was plenty of versatility in this collection and lots of vibrant minis to choose from. There was fur, wool, feathers, sequins, printing, leather, bare leg and a bright, nature inspired colour scheme. It’s fun, cool and perfect party-wear.

Louis Vuitton
For ss2011 Marc Jacobs turned the Louis Vuitton ladies into 70s disco diva darlings but for pre-fall the designer decided to step back a few decades, gaining inspiration for 1920’s and 30s art deco and the beginning of power dressing. However, Jacobs did not miss an opportunity for razzle dazzle by incorporating sequins and feathers in a great gatsby inspired, age of abundance flapper style. The looks were so strongly representative of the theme and era but are still wearable today.
