Roberto's Reprisal

"Better I copy myself, before somebody else does," Good idea Rob, but you're not entirely imitable.

For a/w 2011, Roberto Cavalli clawed through the archives to concoct a post apocalyptic array of animalism.

It was high-end butchery as the designer assembled a construction of various wild-animal skins to actualise his bestial dream.  Texture was a priority determined by thick, copious leathers under effervescent chiffon scarves as reptilia choked on feathers.

Feline sexuality also sank its teeth through cheetah prints, nest-like layering and ecclectic tribal colour arrangements. Despite bedraggled hair and coarsely ragged styling, the wildlife was not deprived of luxury which poured through ornate accessories, lavish passementerie and decadent metal, corseted bodices.

Mr Cavalli shaped a picture of dark animalistic destruction beneath the shadows of a ruining desert sunset.
If the end of the world is nigh, we better get dressed
