sister, sister

I want to be one of the Olsen twins. Screw that, i want to be BOTH of them.

Rather than just a representation of the Olsen aesthetic, i find The Row collections to speak for themselves. In showing the pieces by private appointment only, the designer twins validated the significance of their contribution to fashion even when scaling back their presence and detaching the celebrity attribution.

To be frank, these chicks have talent. simple.

To a certain degree, we see the girls mature through their work. There was a shift from minimalism but luxury was maintained and amplified with oversized extravagant furs, a goatskin coat and a crocodile skin jacket. Of course, there was strength in tailoring, the jackets were as sharp and fixed as ever, but trousers were more relaxed and liberated.

There was an air of vintage decadence in the lavish black dresses. Long black gloves, tassels, sheer fabric and dripping sequins sprinkled some Great Gatsby, ritzy fantasy over the mid-section and delivered excitable variation and aspiration for the future of the brand.
