it's off to work we go

Excuse me Mr Valli, where have all the ball-gowns gone?

Jumping on the bandwagon, Giambattista Valli, almost completely abandoned the cinderella dresses, in favour of the tailored work-wear trend, which merely serves the purpose of reminding me that i need to get a job. bleugh.

Beginning with a slim fit suit and charcoal tunics, the designer firmly placed himself at the top of a tailoring cliff, whose steep gradient was forcing me to take a running jump. HOWEVER, slowly but surely climbing a ladder of colour, my blood came rushing back to the surface. Graphic urban prints whereupon "rain was meant to look like it was hitting tarmac", exhaled satisfyingly with electric shocks of clashing colour blocks- youthfully vibrant but still baring a demure day-wear charm.

Clusters of jewels and exploration of texture, rattled exhilaration into my bones. Tweed moved three dimensionally with crystal embellishment, creating smooth evolutions with satin and perfectly enthralled with neon fox fur trim; all combed elegantly through a clean silhouette.

*adopting sexy marks and spencer lady voice* this isn't just work-wear, this is Giambattista Valli sexy, urban work-wear interpretations.
