ERDEMnation

Ladies love him. All ladies. Younger ladies, older ladies, european ladies, transatlantic ladies, fashionable ladies, celebrity ladies, even abbreviated first ladies, Mobama and SamCam. But despite being the biggest flirt in fashion, the alluring seduction technique begins and ends with his enchantingly cultivated clothes.

Erdem is the romantic, unofficially titled "king of florals", enticing the world with fashion's greatest love story. His delicate designs, splashed charmingly with innovative digital prints, unleash potent magnetic forces which will make you fall weak at the knees....if you haven't already.

Canadian born Erdem Moralioglu began his whirlwind career upon graduating from London's Royal College of Art. Following a brief stint at Diane Von Furstenburg, the designer sought independant acknowledgement and successfully launched his own label, propelling him into the ablazing centre of fashion's brightest spotlight. Victory seemed to continually prevail for the modest Mr Moralioglu who, in 2005, won the Fashion Fringe, followed by the first BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund.

Erdem's divine evanescence is utterly intangable; it cannot be defined nor explained. What CAN be accepted, however, is the sophisticated beauty inspirited within his collections, plain for all to see. His demure prints deliver inky, jewel toned glamour; like a stainglass window under summer rain, but nevertheless, they carry some inherent, sinister undertones which capture intrigue and promise longevity to his expanding career.

"I love the idea that I made someone's favourite blouse, that maybe it is about designing pieces that people can have an emotional attachment to. I've always been fascinated by the idea of creating an object of desire, something that makes you feel like a better version of you." (Erdem Moralioglu, guardian.co.uk)
