I have a fancy black tie event to go to tomorrow and despite knowing about it for weeks, i put off buying an outfit until 2 days ago. The reason for my delay in dress hunting is mainly that i begrudge paying for something that will be worn, at most, twice and, more importantly, i am so tight with money. I cant bare handing over anything more than a tenner. I know, i need to loosen up!
However, no matter how cheap i am, i always manage to find the perfect outfit at an even more perfect price and I must admit, my most recent shopping trip was probably my best performance yet. i found a long-sleeved, floor-length, black velvet dress from (drum roll please) TESCO!! Seriously, their florence and fred clothing range has drastically improved since my last expedition to that particular aisle. Not only is the design and style more up-to-date and fashionable, the quality is equal to any other high-street chain.
The dress is beautiful and fits like a glove, making me feel so long and thin and elegant. i start parading round dramatically like naomi campbell when i try it on. I have decided to wear my tesco bought bargain dress it with my chanel j12 for a bit of irony. No-one needs to know it cost £25 from my local supermarket and if asked, it’s this season’s Balmain darling! i just pray to god that no-one else turns up in the same dress…
