the spy who styled me

tis the season for adjustment (fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la) and for a/w 2011,  armani are letting loose

the italian stallion may be favouring a more relaxed silhouette this season, but don't let that fool you; its just a cunning ploy to reign you in and kill you with style. well maybe not kill exactly, dominate, yes that's a better word.

The designer used the power of seduction in his mission of espionage. the models were turned to spies, prowling the catwalk in a strict uniform of black occasionally peppered with vibrant sky-blues. Interestingly, Giorgio was no longer held hostage to the signature linear shaping, this collection narrowly escaped the clutches of austere inflexibility and ran towards to more reposed domain. Sneaky fluid motion was incorporated in breezing tunics, flowing ruffles and ankle skimming culottes among a WIDE range of trouser variations.

The audience was weakened by demure fabrics splashed with sprites of decorous crystal embellishment, but don't let this unassuming modesty deceive your fashion senses; this girl was a mystery jet under a dark cap and obscure shadowed shades.

I WOULD say that, apart from certain beguiling Annie Hall-esque tendencies, i was mostly unconvinced by this collection. HOWEVER, i will try to keep my trap shut; who knows that the Armani donna is packing in that gun holster.....
