breast cancer, up yours!

R.I.P Poly Styrene. 3 July 1957 – 25 April 2011

She was the embryonic definition of British Punk fortitude with anarchic valor that bled furiously through screaming vocals of innate defiance in truthful tone. As front-woman of x-ray spex, the "poly styrene" enigma was a frenetic archetype of female empowerment, fighting conventions and conquering all limitation. She wrote part of my biography and carved a refreshing path of dynamic non-conformity- for that, i owe her my adolescence at least.
"I am an observer, not a suffering artist writing from tortured experiences. I was playing with words and ideas. Having a laugh about everything, sending it up."
