Louis Vuitton

If the Louis Vuitton show had a caption it would read “you won’t find minimalism here”. To be completely frank it was colourful, camp and fabulous. It was almost as if Marc Jacobs had taken a look at every style he ever loved and combined it in one spectacular show. It was an extrovert’s paradise.

An oriental theme ran throughout, in the structure, the prints and the fan accessories but it wasn’t too gimmicky. Along side the oriental pieces were fitted pant-suits, flapper-style fringed dresses and hot pants. It seemed that Jacobs wanted to mix eastern and western dressing.

At first i thought these looks wouldn’t be completely out of place on a high fashion drag queen but as i got further through the collection i absolutely loved it. It was extravagant and more fun than anything i’ve seen in all of fashion week. It was a little bit tacky but nothing looked cheap. If i had the money i would buy it all. The clashing and colour combinations were genius. Everything just worked. It was eclectic but not thrown together. This collection made me love Louis Vuitton again.
