Everybody has that person that they love to hate. For me, amongst many, is Taylor brat-face Momsen and I’m sure there are other people who feel exactly the same way. When I see an anything with her name or grumpy, smacked-ass, face on it, I instantly reach out but I am always infuriated by her revolting attitude and the absurdly stupid things she says. I can’t help myself though, I need to know what “outrageous” thing she has done this time; it is almost as if I am attracted to the anger that she stirs in me.
But bloody hell, she’s just so irritating. The whole “rebel without a cause, I don’t give a fuck about anything” vibe she tries to give off, just really gets to me. In every interview, her answers become more and more “controversial” and when she said that she passed time by playing with a switchblade, I cringed with utter repugnance. Come on, you’re seventeen you little twirp, stop trying to be something you’re not!
Tim Gunn said that working with her diva-like behaviour was unbearable and that everyone on the set of Gossip-Girl was held hostage by her. To make matters worse, as well as a lack of professionalism, she has little-to-no talent. When she is “acting”, if there was any conviction behind her eyes, you wouldn’t see it past the layers of coal hiding them. She’s no music legend either and even if she was, by constantly comparing herself to Kurt Cobain, she’s setting herself up for a fall. She’s just a spoilt little brat.
However, at the same time, I kind of admire her. In a sick way, the fact that she’s an ungrateful twat makes me like her more. I think it’s funny that she wants to make people mad. She says that she “doesn’t fucking care” about being a bad role model for kids but she obviously does. She wants little girls to try and be like her so that their parents will hate her for it; she gets a kick out of it and I think that’s kind of cool.
I’m not going to lie, I can’t help but listen to her music and, although she looks like a prostitute, I honestly like the way she dresses too. It’s…individual at least. Fair enough, it may be too provocative for a young girl, but so was Christina Aguilera in ass-less chaps circa 2002….
Taylor Momsen wants to be different and that’s fair enough. As long as she keeps being a bitch I’m going to keep reading about it, being disgusted but enjoying it. The feeling doesn’t get old.
